About Us

Thanks for taking a moment to visit our site! My name is Matt and my wife’s name is Trina along with our boy Maverick. We got married in 2002 and our son was born in 2015. I have a degree in Communication from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and my MA from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Trina has a degree in Visual Communication from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs. We love the great outdoors, traveling, riding horses, and exploring new places to include going overseas when given the opportunity. We can be somewhat spontaneous at times and certainly full of the love of Christ. If the truth be known, we want to be so full of Christ that if a mosquito bit us, it flew away singing "There is Power in the Blood." We most enjoy traveling with our son as he learns new things along the way. What an adventurous life we live!

The journey of our ministry started in 2002 when we lived in Colorado. We felt the Lord laid upon our hearts to have a full-time traveling ministry to share the Gospel across our country. At the time, we had no idea of where to start or what this ministry would even look like. To be honest, we might not have taken this opportunity too serious at first. This was such a scary thought being so newly married. Where would we go and where would the finances come from are among some of the questions that came to mind. Over time, we started to pray and talk about the possibility of embarking on such a calling. Some years had passed and still nothing! We did continue to have a strong desire to travel sharing the Gospel. In 2010, the Lord gave us our ministry that we call Red Oak Ministries. By this time, we had built a life where we lived and owned a home. Were we to just up and get rid of everything and leave? We still did not have a clue about what God was going to do with us through this ministry. We started to become involved in our local community by praying and serving others with the intention of sharing the Gospel every chance we got. Our church at that time came beside us in prayer, mentoring, and guiding us in the direction of God’s calling to full-time ministry. I was ordained as a deacon a year before we moved to North Carolina where I became a student pastor. I was ordained as a pastor into the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ the last year I served as a student pastor. We still prayed and talked about our ministry being able to travel full-time. In 2019 we were blessed to buy a new truck and 5th wheel trailer that is our ministry home on wheels. We decided to travel part-time, but little did we know that the Lord would open the door for us to travel full-time in 2020 sharing the Gospel around the country in campground settings. In November 2022, we officially became a 501c3 non-profit ministry. In 2024, the Lord broadened our ministry to come alongside local churches and help serve their communities. WOW; was this even real after all these years? God was faithful to what He called us to do all those years earlier and our obedience has been blessed.

As a traveling evangelist, we travel to campgrounds that invite us to do Sunday morning church services and a midweek fireside chat Bible study. We meet and greet many folks, build long lasting relationships, pray, serve, and help meet needs all while sharing the Gospel. We are convinced that folks in campgrounds are an unreached people group that need the Lord too. We often wondered where campers went to church, especially full-timers. When we are not in campgrounds, we are in churches that invite us to come and have me preach a service, do a revial, share what the Lord is doing, and/or do student events. We also help churches with their outreach ministries such as evangelism, discipleship, and missions. In addition, we minister to the homeless and do small projects in the communities when needed.

We raise our own support by generous folks from all over, to include our sending church in Texas, our home church in Alabama, and a few others. In addition, we receive love offerings from churches we travel to and guests that attend our services in the campgrounds. We strongly believe in meeting people where they are and taking them where they need to go.

God’s Word will not return void!
